David Booms

I’m Dave Booms, Pastoral Administrator. I’m originally from Detroit MI and lived briefly in Alaska, Nevada and Idaho before landing in Minnesota in 1970. I’ve been married just shy of 18 years to my wife Lisa and we’ve been blessed with two children, Liz (11) and Nate (7). We joined RLC in 2003. Prior to my current role I was employed at the Star Tribune for 22+ years , RLC’s Welcome Team Coordinator from Jan. 2007 to May 2009 and I worked for a fellow RLC member Jim Messer, owner of Gorder Mortuary Supply, as a Customer Service Rep from 2007 till this past May. I have a BA in Psychology and have recently been in studies for a Master’s in American History. I am a voracious reader, mostly historical material. I like to cook and though I own four grills/smokers I do not limit my cooking to the out-of-doors. If you would like to know where you might find ethnic eateries, just ask me. I am about to start as a Den Leader for Boy Scout Pack 150. So I’ll find out how well I can work with 8-10 boys of seven & eight years of age.

My ministry will be, in short, assisting the Pastors perform the entire ministry that they do. In addition part of my focus will be on our Connect/Grow/Serve/Go Ministry plan. I’m happy to be in this role and look forward to both my future and that of Roseville Lutheran Church.

Yours in Christ,
Dave Booms
