Greetings! My name is Russ Britton and I am delighted to join the staff of Roseville Lutheran as your Youth and Family Team Leader and Director of Middle School Ministries. I am enthusiastic to serve alongside Megan, Neal, and Tyler to nurture vibrant faith in God through supporting our youth and families. I will be serving half-time as I am also a full time M. Div. student at Luther Seminary.
Just a few things about myself, I am originally from Colorado, however I did attend St. Olaf College where I majored in religion and philosophy. Several summers of outdoor ministry leadership coupled with twelve years of youth ministry leadership in Colorado Springs and most recently Park City, Utah leaves me confident that together we will be able to do wonderful things with the youth ministries here at RLC. Some hobbies I enjoy are fitness (CrossFit and running with well over 100 races), reading (love a good library or Barnes and Noble), and music (playing guitar, percussion, piano and listening to a great variety).
I am joyfully blessed to be married for seven years to a wonderful partner in love, faith, fitness, and parenting. Her name is Sarah and she is a former educator turned domestic engineer. Together we have a little guy, Christopher, who is 2 ½ and as curious and energetic as the day is long. Minnesota is home to my wife’s family so it is good to be here on so many levels. Being a Lutheran in Utah is a bit different than being Lutheran here in the heartland and I am learning new things each day. What is not different is the amazing grace which we receive through our God in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I look forward to meeting many of you as we Connect, Grow, Serve, and Go!
