Many of you have experienced an Alpha Course in the past and have found it both enriching and encouraging, particularly as a place to consider the “big questions” in life and faith. After much discernment and discussion, it has become clear that during this time of transition at RLC, a focus on identifying and understanding God’s will for our church’s direction and identify has become critical. As an outreach program, Alpha serves an incredible purpose, and while it is our hope that we all continue to grow in the ways we reach out to others, we also recognize that at this time in the life of our church, we need to concentrate our focus more inwardly in order to rebuild effectively.
For those reasons, next week’s Come and See Dinner, in addition to the fall Alpha Course, will not be offered. We encourage those of you who previously registered for Alpha to take part in our other Wednesday Adult Education offering, The Story. If you are interested in remaining connected with Alpha, RLC is hosting the Twin Cities Alpha Fall Celebration Dinner on Saturday, October 12 at 6pm, and we would really appreciate your help in welcoming these good people to our church home. If you are interested in taking part in an Alpha Course, we would be more than happy to assist you in connecting with an area church where it is being offered, as we will have representatives from several churches at the Celebration Dinner.
