Through God’s guidance, the Mission and Outreach Committee supports our Missionary Pastor Dana Nelson with $20,000 annually to support her missionary work in Peru.

Tanzania
We have multiple donations to our partner congregation in Tanzania. Sponsorship programs students in secondary school and seminary students at Tumaini University. RLC supports an agricultural education program for the parishioners at our companion congregation. We continue annual support to our companion congregation to build and maintain preaching posts.
The generosity of many Roseville Lutheran members and friends brought the annual Student Sponsorship Campaign to a successful conclusion in November. As a result, our church will be able to sponsor a total of 37 secondary school students from our companion congregation in Ng’ang’ange, Tanzania, during the 2012 school year. This is an increase of five students over our current level of support in 2011. Thanks be to God!
During their mission trip to Tanzania in August, RLC members were excited to meet many of the students in person who are currently sponsored by our church. These fine young Christian men and women are working hard to forge a better life for themselves through our gift of education. Their gratitude for this opportunity is evident in their smiles and their enthusiasm. RLC’s support will enable many of them to continue in their studies and many more to enter secondary school for the first time. Providing this educational opportunity is the highest priority of our companion congregation, and it is one embraced by RLC members as we joyfully work bega kwa bega (shoulder to shoulder) with our Tanzanian sisters and brothers in Christ.
The Mission and Outreach Ministry Team is still accepting additional sponsorship gifts. The cost of a full student sponsorship is $360 per year, but gifts in any amount are greatly appreciated. International Students at Luther Seminary
RLC provides financial support to the scholarship program for international students at Luther Seminary. This academic year, 50 international students from 20 different countries are studying in every degree program offered at the seminary.
Operation Bootstrap Africa
Operation Bootstrap Africa works with the MaaSae Girls Lutheran Secondary School (MGLSS) in northern Tanzania. Many RLC members are involved and touched by their relationships with students they have sponsored through this program.

Vision Slovakia
God continues his work in Slovakia through the Bible School and Lutheran Elementary School in Martin, Slovakia. RLC continues to support students in the lay leadership program at the Bible School and students in the elementary school.
ELCA World Hunger Appeal
The ELCA World Hunger Appeal is a comprehensive and sustainable program that uses multiple strategies—relief, development, education, and advocacy—to address the root causes of hunger and poverty. ELCA World Hunger responds to neighbors around the corner and around the world.
How You Can Get Involved
The Mission and Outreach Team welcomes ideas and suggestions from every RLC members. We want the involvement of every member at RLC in at least 1 program sponsored by the Mission and Outreach Team.
