Feed the Hungry
Mountain of Love
Each March, for Minnesota FoodShare Month, Roseville Lutheran church members and friends donate non-perishable food items, grocery store gift certificates, and financial contributions to the Mountain of Love. During this week long collection, Roseville Lutheran Church collects over 5,000 pounds in food.
You can help by donating non-perishable foods, gift certificates, or financial contributions. Also, food stackers and people to take down the Mountain of Love are needed.
Thanksgiving
Each week before Thanksgiving, Roseville Lutheran Church holds a Thanksgiving Food Drive. Members and friends bring their non-perishable food items to the Commons outside the Worship Center to share with others who are in need, especially during the holiday season.
“Souper” Bowl
On “Super Bowl Sunday” in January, the Roseville Lutheran youth ask the congregation to bring cans of soup and other non-perishable items, as well as financial contributions to the big soup pots located in the Commons outside of the Worship Center. The youth then donate the contributions to the local food shelf.
On-Going Collection
Roseville Lutheran Church has an on-going food collection. Brown bins are located near the Roselawn entrance to the church for non-perishable food donations. These donations are used for emergency food needs within our congregation and community. Excess food donations are then donated to the local food shelf.
Loaves and Fishes
Once a month, a group of Roseville Lutheran men and women help to serve dinner at the Dorothy Day Center in St. Paul. For more information on how you can help to feed the homeless, contact Beth Reinhart at 651-483-1577.
