Habitat for Humanity
The Shelter Ministry knows that without a place to call home, life is nearly impossible. Through Habitat for Humanity, Naomi Shelter and the Union Gospel Mission, Roseville Lutheran is supporting or building safe, clean affordable housing for the poor, senior citizens, the homeless and battered women.
Since 1990, Roseville Lutheran members have worked on more than 40 homes through Habitat for Humanity. At the corner of State Street and Concord Blvd. on St. Paul's West Side, you can see how we helped convert a dilapidated row house (right) into homes for six families.
But our motto could be: "Do good, but eat well.'' The lunches and snack times provide the opportunity for church members from 15 to 80 to know one another. Usually, we also get to know the families whose house we are building, as well.
