75th Anniversary

Remember + Rejoice
Celebrating 75 Years
RLC 1942-2017

Called to Ministry for 75 years...and beyond!

Back in 1937 Rose township was truck farms and garden nurseries, and growing in population. The neighborhood realized there was a need for a place to worship and to have Sunday School for the 120 children in the area. On October 28, 1942, a group of 15 persons met to discuss the organization of a congregation. It was decided to publicly organize an independent Lutheran Congregation on November 29, 1942. From those seeds that were planted in 1942, Roseville Lutheran has been a growing field for thousands that have called this place their church home. Without the fortitude and tenacity of the 13 charter families of RLC, our church would not exist!

Through the past 75 years, Rosetown Lutheran Congregation has not only changed its name to Roseville Lutheran Church, but also changed to be the church home this community has needed through the years. Through the six building programs, more than a few pastoral call committees, and hundreds of community issues, its lay leaders and pastors have prayerfully and thoughtfully labored to make the best decisions they could through these years. RLC has survived and thrived for 75 years, giving the momentum to forge ahead into the future for decades to come, continuing the serve its people, the community and the world.
