Meeting to Explain the Proposed Amendments to RLC's Constitution and Bylaws
All members of RLC are invited to review the proposed amendments to RLC’s Constitution and Bylaws and come to a presentation by the Constitution Review Task Force on July 12th and July 26th at 9:00 a.m. in the Upper Lounge.

Bring your questions about the proposed amendments to the meeting! As you review the Constitution and the proposed amendments, please note that any paragraph that has an asterisk is required by the ELCA and cannot be substantively changed.
The Constitution Review Task Force was formed in March of 2026 to review RLC’s 2022 Constitution and Bylaws in order to incorporate new ELCA required amendments and to review and revise non-required sections of the Constitution (those sections without asterisks).
Next steps include approval from the St. Paul Area Synod (“SPAS”), a congregational vote to approve the amended Constitution at the annual meeting on August 23, 2026, approval from the SPAS, and finally a congregational vote to ratify the Constitution as amended at the 2027 annual meeting.
