Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Services
with Rev. Dave Wangaard and Karla Lietzman
Pastor Dave Wangaard, formerly a pastor in the St. Paul Area Synod and now working with Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Services, will present the work of this national organization --one that has had the ear of the White House for many decades. In particular, he will discuss LIRS’ latest efforts to build a Welcome Center in Guatemala which will serve those who are denied asylum in the U.S. and returned to the country. Pastor Wangaard will be joined by Karla Leitzman, a Philanthropic Advisor for LIRS.
