In March 2023, Pastor Lauren and Pastor Marty went to Guatemala in order to explore prospective partnerships. We met many wonderful people and the potential for teaming up with people in Guatemala is great, so we are excited to announce that we are putting together a congregational trip in February 2024! This trip will provide opportunities to work alongside folks on a school classroom building project, meet students and teachers at a Christian school, and sightsee in beautiful Guatemala.

The service learning trip is planned for February 17-26, 2024 and is for adults only.

Join Pastors Marty and Tori February 17-26, 2024 to work and learn in Guatemala. We will spend our mornings with community members building an additional classroom for a school in Santa Apolonia. In the afternoons, we will visit previous construction sites from other projects, a secondary Christian school, and other sites like a coffee farm.

After our four work days, we will take two days to relax at beautiful Lake Atitlan, where we will enjoy lush gardens and some restorative time before spending our last night in Guatemala City and returning home.

Cost 

• Per person cost without endowment grant is $1875 plus airfare 
• Per person cost with endowment grant is $1515 plus airfare
• Both costs include hotels, transportation, breakfasts and some lunches
• Dinners and any shopping are not included

Sample Work Day

• 7:00am Breakfast at hotel
• 9:00am -1:00pm  Work at Project Site
• 1:00pm  Lunch
• Afternoon   Visit other sites/sightseeing in Antigua
• 7:00 pm Dinner at Antigua restaurants
