From our day of rest yesterday we arose a bit more rested, but a little ‘slow’ this morning. We picked up where we left off last Saturday with fence painting, and moving the office furniture back into the appropriate offices. What a difference it made to have freshly painted walls, new carpet, a few new pieces of furniture and just having books and papers sorted out. It will make life a little easier for the CCE staff, and for sure give visitors a clean, fresh first-look at the CCE. Glad we could help in this way.

Dave and KJ hopped into the ‘lift’ to varnish the south peak of the dormitory at a little before 9am. The Lift Truck was rented for only FOUR HOURS, and it looked like a daunting job. But with blazing speed and a great lift operator, in 3 hours and 45 minutes the job was completed!! How did Slávka have that project timed out so precisely!?

The first floor of the 2nd Classroom building attached to the Dining Hall had new windows installed over the weekend. Now those classrooms and library needed to be wiped down, windows washed and floors cleaned. With amazing coordination, the crew had those classrooms all put back for class to resume tomorrow. Kathy and Mary took a few minutes to observe the kindergarten on the 2nd floor of that same building.

MUCH THANKS to Roseville Lutheran Church Mission and Outreach Ministry Team for the extra funding available and to the CCE staff who used those funds to purchase the supplies ahead of our arrival. What a difference in organization from year’s past. We were able to keep on task and not wait for supplies/materials. ‘It will be on the truck tomorrow’… didn’t need to happen this year. Also, the outpouring of volunteers from the CCE parents last Saturday was overwhelming and helped immensely with completing a couple of the projects on our list. WOW!!! GOD IS SO GOOD!!!
