A Christmastime message from Bega Kwa Bega in Tanzania, a mission supported in part by Roseville Lutheran Church:

In villages with no electricity, amidst much singing and dancing, kerosene lamps, candles, and flashlights will be a tangible reminder that, "What has come into being in Christ was life, and the life was the light of all people."

When worship comes to a close and families traverse the paths back to their homes, they will carry with them the promise that, "The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness (will) not overcome it." As you and your loved ones celebrate Christ's birth and presence among us, may you be graced to go and do the same - carrying a flicker of hope out into the communities and neighborhoods that you call home.
